Job Responsibilities

We are currently seeking inspection personnel who, together with their colleagues, will conduct regular inspection visits to Malmö city's transitional housing and emergency assistance accommodations. The visits include checking the apartment's surfaces and performing a basic functional check. A verification that the tenant is registered in the housing queue is conducted at each visit, and it may also be necessary to assist with reporting issues to the landlord.

The tasks are primarily practical, such as contacts with authorities, renovations, and inspections, but may also involve administration such as documentation. Furthermore, as an inspection person, you will be responsible for informing tenants upon moving in, handing out keys, checking that home insurance is in place, handling complaints, and providing basic advice on the maintenance of the apartment. After moving out, a cleaning inspection and assessment of the apartment will be conducted. You and your colleagues are responsible for developing procedures and ensuring that they are followed in the accommodations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed at least a high school education, has at least one year of work experience, and experience from similar work within the public sector. Since your assignment includes all of Malmö, a B driver's license for manual transmission is required, as well as the ability to cycle. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Other language skills, beyond Swedish, are considered an asset. Previous experience in property management, local inspections, or technical inspections is also regarded as advantageous.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work independently and prioritize your tasks. As a person, you are structured and work with a professional approach. The ideal candidate has good social skills, strong communication abilities, and finds it easy to collaborate with others. You are service-oriented and it is important that you feel comfortable having difficult conversations with tenants and can maintain a good demeanor, even in challenging situations.
